Modular Architectural Grids
Do buildings have to be permanent?

One of my favourite projects on Brighton College's Art & Design Foundation was our exploration into architecture. The initial brief was to create an intimate space, but realising that many people find different spaces intimate it seemed futile to design a single perfect space. Instead I looked at changing architecture. Can the users of a building change the layout of their space based on the size of their group or personal needs? I created models of different grid layouts that might be used to hold the walls in place, that also functioned as the floor and tables.

My final model was based on isometric paper and could be used to hold a variety of shapes.
